When I was going to college in Florida, I had a small climate-controlled storage unit for my gear, since I couldn't store it in my dorm room and couldn't leave it in the car. I would pick my gear up on the way to the rink, then bring it back on my way home and hang it up on a rack in the unit. It was like 30-40 bucks a month. Not terribly cheap, but I didn't really have any other choice. Might be a valid option if your coworkers start to object to the smell.
