Yep. I think this is the third thread it's come up in now. But that's a different issue. If the Coyotes don't protect their trademark in the United States, it could dissolve before their eyes. Since "whiteout" is already a normal English word (not that Arizona gets many actual whiteouts), the protection is relatively low (i.e. "Microsoft" has greater protection than "Windows," because "windows" is already a non-proprietary English word). But even with that in mind, it's a valuable thing to hold, so it makes business sense to protect it. Not that I think it's moral, but businesses don't act moral.
