I dont know where they rank, but theyve got to be up in the top five. If were not on our game defensively, theyre going to pick us apart. The flip side of that is, weve got to find ways to get goals. But were capable of winning games 2-1, 1-0. Its going to be really hard to win a game against the Vancouver Canucks if were giving up four or five goals. Thats just a fact. Were not that type of team, where were going to trade chance for chance.
(reaching that 'next level' ...) "Part of getting to the next level is losing. We lost in the regular season for two or three years, and then we finally figured out what it takes. I think its no different in the playoffs. Everything is just more magnified, and you learn a lot quicker. What you learn in six or seven games in the playoffs, it takes a couple years (in the regular season). Weve had two years in a row, now, where weve had opportunities to give ourselves a better opportunity, later in the series, to have the upper hand and we let it slip by. Now, its important for us to give ourselves an opportunity to get that upper hand. We have some different personnel in here a little bit, and some guys have been through it and understand what happened in the last couple years here.
Weve had the experience of the last couple years. Now its important to apply that this year and bring attention to every little thing, every detail that weve learned as a group over the last couple years. I think its important for this team, this year, to take it one game at a time. I think maybe thats been part of our Last year, were up 4-0 (against San Jose) and guys start thinking about the next game and its 2-2 (in the series). So, its important for us to focus, both individually and as a group, on each game. Right now, its a one-game series and thats Wednesday."

Obviously, clinching a playoff spot late in the season, in the last couple days, and battling for the last couple months to get in that position, to be in that spot. Its just peaking at the right time, having a hot goaltender and (getting) timely goals and good special teams."

For us, weve just got to be patient with them. I think they thrive when they get teams running around, over-committing a little bit. We have to be strong on them, and take time and space away, but at the same time, if were running around a little too much, sometimes thats when they do the most damage. We need patience with them. Its a fine line between having patience and giving them too much time and space. Weve got to find that line. Obviously they are key to their power play, and just their offense in general. Well see a lot of them over the last couple weeks."

LET'S GO KINGS !!!

- WCQF GAMES SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER
