If the new CBA has an amnesty/compliance buyout,Redden will be bought out. The early word was no compliance buyouts but if the NHL gets their one size fits all cap, then there have to be compliance buyouts. Brian Burke made mention of the one way contracts possibly counting against the cap in next CBA. The NHLPA wouldn't go for it last time. The Rangers and all of the teams need to be careful this summer. Tim Wharnsby and Elliotte Friedman mentioned this on the Hotsove 2 weeks ago. Redden got paid $13M in real $ and lost no $ to escrow to play in the AHL. He is still owed $10M in real money.
