Sorry jungle. I think that it would be a mistake to trade Anshankov. They love the lad in Redsville and he is getting some solid praise from his coach. Straka would be ours for this season and next. (if there is a next) If we aren't lucky then the Pens would get a great young player who is so far looking to be a good one that they will have for 8 or 9 years before he becomes a ufa and we would get a very good player for two seasons.

I just don't like trading potential snipers. They are hard to find and while there are no promises that Anshankov will make it to the NHL and perform, I would rather take that gamble right now then the alternative. A player like Hogeboom who is a very good young talent who is more of a power forward type I might (unwillingly) be able to part with. Players like that you can usually turn up. The snipers are expensive and hard to find. Thats what I think but then again, DT is at the helm praise jesus!
