I don't think it got progressively worse at all, up and down really, but no extremes. He was decent in front of the net almost getting his first goal, knew what to do around the boards, and was slowly but surely getting comfortable with his defensive positioning.

If anything, I thought he played very timid. Though he did get involved in some plays, I think he was hanging back a bit waiting for the rush or a pass to him.

For his first NHL game after very little time to adjust and gel with the team, not to mention it being the playoffs, he did what was expected of him today and played it safe.
