I heard that he had skated on his own for a bit before skating with the team for the aforementioned 20 minutes. And that he left the ice when contact drills began. Sounds like he's getting there. I would think he's not in game shape.
I wonder if 8-10 minutes of Gill is better than 8-10 minutes of Hillen or Ellis. At least he could kill penalties. Then Weber or Suter could play more ES minutes.
If/when we get past Detroit, I'd bet he's ready for the next round.
