That's the Edmonton atmosphere. Every city has their big league sports character. For Calgary, it seems to be "Diehard or don't give a ****" and "hockey games are a good place to do business."

Edmonton, its "If they're good, we'll support. If not, we won't even acknowledge." If a team makes the playoffs or wins something or if they hold something special (forget the Oilers, its the same with the Eskes and the Golden Bears) they will overhype it and brag about it for years - longer than they will support the team.
