This is well known thing. Not all affected by it, but many good players are. I call it Zherdev's sindrom. Playoffs are scary for those not experienced, esp. for non-grinder skilled guys. On the other hand those who know shine: Feds, Rupp, even Boyle. Step will be better eventually, not his fault. Just needs to get to next round somehow.
