I'd also say that the bigger problem was the trade deadline--perhaps Sather spent too much time focused on Nash, but it would have been prudent to take some of those lower picks, perhaps the ones we acquired in the Wolski and Christensen trades, and acquired some depth hockey players--not John Scott

I definitely would not have given up the 1st rounder it cost to get Gaustad, but an acquisition like Pahlsson couldn't have hurt.
