The only thing I worry about the Wild is they got too good, too fast. Last year was obviously great for the Wild and their fans, but because you got too good so fast, you won't stock up on elite talent.

IMO it's best to bring in a guy like Hartley or a Lemaire afer about 3-4 years of struggling, and drafting really high.

Gaborik is the only stud player that the Wild have been ableto draft, while Columbus has gotten Nash, Klesla, Zherdev, and another prbobable top 5 this year.

Atlanta has picked up Heatly, Kovalchuk, Lehtonen, Coburn.

The Wild are more similar to the Florida Panthers, who got too good too fast, and in the end it stunted their growth long term.

Compare Florida & Ottawa that came into the league just a year apart.

Ottawa was god-awful for about 6 years and picked: 2nd, 1st, 3rd, 1st, 1st, and 12th. They were brutal to watch, but because of that they have built a league powerhouse.

Florida on the otherhand only got two top picks, made the finals quickly, but them the team fell apart and had a downward sprial that only now are they starting to recover from.
