That is more so than our other established D because they are lefty.

In the short term it appears illogical to move your one righty rock at D. But McIlrath (who can't be traded for top dollar as an unknown and is likely not worth seriously considering to trade at all until he has shown some production and commensurate trade value) is a righty, and he will be here next year.

After that is the guy we talk about signing Schultz; I think he is also a righty, so a return on Girardi helps make a spot and increases chances we get him.

So also are the next top guys in our system, Noreau and Ceresniak, also righty, if I remember. Granted they are a couple of years away. But the point is we have one righty replacement for Girardi now, and something in sight.

We have nothing if our lefties go down, except maybe Pashnin, and I have to double check that...
