To me it's fairly simple: if I had a choice to pick in the top 10 or the bottom 10, I would prefer the first option.
I would tend to agree with JFF that the Wild would be better off getting a few of the high-profile prospects at the cost of losing a few games. I am not suggesting losing on pursose (that's where the debate of Lemaire and expansion team comes in).
Pitkanen/Bowmeester/Nash instead of Bouchard? Even though nothing is guaranteed, me thinks picking high(er) for an expansion team is not a bad idea.
About Bouchard- I dont think he is able to control tempo of the game. At this point in the season more than half of his points came on the PP. He is rather easily pushed off the puck and the best chances that he creates are not on the rush, rather being on PP or spinning off the defenders along the boards/behind the net. Closest we have to a player controlling the game (not tempo) is Brunette IMO.
