I agree the price would be more than Rivet (Rivet and Perreault, if they have the money?), but this is a scenario worth pursuing, it would also give Markov and eventually Perezhoghin a Russian teammate to hang around with.

The same way Malakhov had gone into a funk a few years back when his Russian friend Val Bure was traded for immortals Zarley Zalapsky and Jonas Hoglund (Ouch!),Markov seems to be in a similar funk ever since his only fellow Russian Oleg Petrov was dealt late last year. Also, Katsysnin would have anice Russian entourage when he reaches the NHL...

The question is, would Tampa have an interest/budget for Rivet, or what about any other team with young studs potentially available???
