Possibly, but it depends on the events they want to attract. If they want the top concerts rather than mid range, or events like the World Juniors then a larger arena may make sense. It seems like a long shot but it is possible that the new Markham arena may be able to take business away from the ACC.

I think this is a risk, and I do agree that it does seem too larger, but I don't dismiss it off hand.
