I'd say Kovalchuk is a better scorer. Giroux plays a complete game. If you want 50 goals, get Kovy. If you want a guy to play PP, SH, and ES and do it all very well, get Giroux. So like someone said before, it is all preference. Pure offense: Kovalchuk. All around: Giroux. Both are good choices and reasonable minds can differ on who is the better player.
