Great environment around that team. GM fanning trade flames, having to be told by the coach to shut up. And on the other hand, the team sending the ongoing signal that they are paralyzed and can't add dalary, dump salary, do anything...because of the big bad CBA that looms. What a wonderful, built-in excuse. (And sadly, some fans buy it.)

Maybe every NHL team will fret about a work stoppage that may never occur, and no one will try to win the Cup this year!
Gotta give credit to Sterling for telling his Teflon GM to keep the Trade talks behind closed doors. So much for the Rookie coach being a Milbury "yes" man.

I agree that the Salary dumping could not have come at a worse time. Basicly showing that this team has no long term plan, only short trem reactions to to on ice problems with little thought on what may lie around the corner both financially and talent wise.
