The premiums in the game are on defensemen and centers. Pommer is a good captain with great intangibles so it's not really worth trading him for what would ultimately be a diminishing value.
The only guys who would fetch a good return on this team are: Ennis, Hodgson, Myers, Ehrhoff, and MAYBE Miller.
That's why I wouldn't move Pominville, most likely.
I think he's worth more to the Sabres than other teams.
