Terry Murray is a great assistant coach. Terrible head coach.

If he gets another NHL coaching job, it should be as the defensive coach.

Yes, the Kings played good defense with Murray, but Sutter has shown that there is no reason to not force the play up the ice. It shouldn't have taken 4 years for the team to play a balanced game. Murray should have used his first year to teach the defense first strategy and then each year he should have openend up the play, instead he was more defensive each season and said that it was an improvement. Did everyone already forget the defensive disaster the Kings were in the playoffs with Murray? Murray's style of coaching just doesn't work anymore and his system is too passive for the playoffs.

Sutter has made one lineup change choice in 8 playoffs games (non-injury related). He moved Penner up one line and King down one line. That is it. Same defensive pairs, same PP units and the same PK units. Players have to love that after Terry Murray.

How many years have we asked Terry to stop ****ing with the lines?

Terry took a team over the last 3 years that was getting much better on paper and had them regressing on the ice. Don't act like another coach couldn't have done what Murray was able to do. He was a terrible head coach.
