The NHL is at fault this time. Not the teams.

People cried when more penalties were being called straight out of the lock-out, but it provided some damn exciting hockey. It gave skilled small players a chance to play the game. The NHL has completley abandoned this notion and has decided to let the obstruction back into the game for some unknown reason.

All pre-lockout teams struggled heavily in the few seasons post-lockout. They have eventually found their way back due to the refs allowing hooking holding and tripping.

Why the refs have decided to reverse the method in which they ref games is beyond me. It worked for 3 seasons, and we had fast flowing hockey.
