20 years ago your second line guys got 35, nowadays that's first line material aka Ryan Smyth, etc.

Now obviously when you put stars together their numbers will go up.

Without scoring wingers, Thornton would get 80-90 points. Put some guys who compliment him and he's a 110-120 point player.

Cheechoo helps Thornton too, though Thornton probably has a bigger impact on Cheechoo's stats than the other way around.

Cheechoo on his own is probably a 30-40 goal scorer, give or take.

But as he hits his prime and plays with Thornton you can add more points to that.

Cheechoo is a very good player, but on his own he isn't a Heatly, Hossa, Jagr or Nash type winger.
