It would be nice to win more faceoffs, but not at the expense of a roster spot otherwise useless.
100 faceoffs won will lead to one goal. I guess by the same logic, every 100 faceoffs lost will lead to a goal against. So every 50 won faceoffs will equal one net goal. So if Gaustad took everyone of Boyle's draws in these playoffs, assuming the same FO% during the playoffs (60.1% vs. 45.9%), it would equal another 28 FO wins. That is worth just over half a goal, according to Schuckers.
Considering Boyle has scored 2 more goals than Gaustad, I'll roll with him.
