I am not only talking about posters on message boards here. All the media outlets report the same things. They start to refer to games as "must wins", way too early.
The teams that are going to take the bottom 3 playoff spots in the east, are the teams that are the hottest in the last 10 games of the season.
Right now the Habs are in 9th place, 1 point out of 8th. If they win 3 games in a row, they could be in 6th place. The fortunes of "bubble teams" can change quickly and dramatically. While I admit the games since the road trip have been frustrating, they have NOT doomed the team to missing the playoffs.
There are now 8 teams fighting for the final 3 playoff spots. Any team can have a hot streak, and the Habs are going to need one to make the playoffs. But don't forget, so will Tampa, New Jersey, Toronto, NYI, Florida, and Boston.
Logical rational thinking has no place on this board!
