You're lucky you didn't see the 15 yr run from the expansion year to 82/83.

1976/77 was especially rough. 16-55-9 (41 pts). 183 goals for / 309 goals against. Worst PP / 2nd worst PK.

In a season that saw:
1 60 goal scorer.
2 50+ goal scorers.
3 40+ goal scorers.
24 30+ goal scorers.....Walt McKechnie led the Wings in goal scoring with 25, (49th in the league). Michel Bergeron was next with 21.

Eight defensemen play 23 games or more. The best +/- was Jim Nahrgang's -12. Al Cameron was a league worst -43. Three of the bottom five for +/- were Wings. Dennis Polonich led the NHL in PIMs with 274. Cameron was 5th.

Spoiled would be an understatement.
