The 81/82 Leafs may have been the saddest excuse for a Leaf team I can remember. That was the year of the three 18 year olds on D. Benning, Boimistruck, and McGill. Sittler was traded halfway thru, as was Wilf Paiement, Laurie Boschman, Pat Hickey, and Ian Turnbull. The goaltending, however, was the worst. Bunny Laroque and Vincent Tremblay shared the load, racking up a grand total of 20 wins between them and a GA over 4.50. With the exception of the Vaive, Derlago, Anderson line, the rest of the offence was pretty bad. When Bob Manno is your 4th highest scoring forward, you know you're in BIG trouble.
