Injury update: Flyers D Kim Johnsson, sidelined since Jan. 28 with a concussion, has been cleared to begin skating and could be cleared to play before the playoffs, Flyers athletic trainer Jim McCrossin said before Wednesday's game.
Johnsson was seen by Pittsburgh neurologist Mickey Collins on Wednesday.
"I didn't get the full report yet, but he's optimistic about Kimmy. Hopefully, we can get him back for the playoffs or around the playoffs. He feels that Kimmy is progressing. He feels he's at a stage where we can start pushing him aerobically. That's what we'll start doing (today) . . . skating and swimming."
McCrossin said Chris Therien (concussion) can begin exercising, but can not yet begin skating.
