Murray had a few good plays today (he prevented a goal early in the first with a good stick check on a cross in front of the crease) but he just seems to be consistently out of position. He plops down in front of the net and sort of stays there, without really considering where everyone else is. It frees up the other team to move the puck around more. I haven't been impressed with him, and this is the level of people he'll be playing against in just over half a year.
Yeah, but at that point he'll have:

- a full summer of training under his belt to get bigger and stronger.

- a full training camp to learn and adapt how to play against tougher competition.

- a full schedule of exhibition games to refine himself further.

With all that being said, people need to realize that a lockout is looking more and more like a reality. That means that Murray will ultimately start the season in the WHL next year and maybe not leave.
