You can question his character with the previous incidents but I'll be judging by the recent example of seeing his impact when he got the ice time.

RH shot or not Babchuk is a liability when he is not producing and IMO he has never produced enough to make it worth keeping him fr any reason. It's just not worth it and I don't think any team will trade for him at his crrent contract. Our only chance to get rid of him are either waive & demote him, or put him on re-entry waivers because at 1.25 million someone might take a chance.

And pairing Babchuk with Smith as a 5/6 pairing is a HUGE mistake because that forces Brodie into a top 4 role and while maybe someday he might be able to handle that, he is definitely not ready right now. Let's focus on getting Brodie a good bottom pairing guy to play with so he can work his way out of sheltered minutes before being thrown into the top 4. Prospects need to be put in a position to succeed and throwing Brodie in the top 4 right now is setting him up for failure.
