I do a lot of cycling as well. Mostly road these days since I sold the MTB. If you go cleats or power straps, you can really work the up stroke and build strength for throwing the leg forward in the skating stride. It's not a natural stroke when you're pedaling and I have to focus on it when I"m hill climbing or riding into the wind.

I like to get a few miles in on game days. I usually get a better stretch when the legs have seen some work.
