I really don't want to comment on the value. But I don't see the purpose for Boston to use two assets (Thomas and McQuaid) to upgrade one of the spots in the top 6. I see this a lot with proposals from Bruins fans. Way too eager to exchange Krejci for a wing in order to get Seguin to center. I could see it if Nathan Horton was 100%. But since he's still a huge question mark, Boston needs to add to their top 6, not shuffle the cards with it. If Boston is deciding to go with Rask, I don't see why they'd want to carry a $2m backup. They'd just go with Rask and Khudobin.
