I have no problem with Schenn. Honestly, the problem in Toronto was Ron Wilson. Schenn had a fantastic season previously and was really starting to come into his own. I don't exactly know what happened in Toronto, but Schenn immediately started out in Wilson's dog house right from pre-season on until Wilson was fired. Wilson has a history of doing that with defensemen (see Matt Carle, Marc Edouard Vlasic, Sergei Gonchar, etc.....). I wouldn't put too much stock into Schenn being a poor player or anything like that. He tried to do too much to keep an ornery coach off his back.
