There's no justification for valuing Pavelski as highly as Sharp actually. I don't know that I've never seen a fan base overrate a solid top 6 forward as much as Sharks fans seem to do with Pavelski. It's shocking really.
Actually, Sharp has 3 years on Pavelski. And Sharp is signed until he's 35 at nearly $6 mil per year. That is not necessarily a plus.
In the end, I would rather just keep Pavelski. He's top-tier 2nd-line center or wing, or a decent top-line forward. He's fantastic defensively, good in the circle, and is (as far as many or most Sharks fans are concerned) the future Captain of the franchise.
I don't get why some fans seem so intent on moving Pavelski. You think Sharks fans overrate him, I think too many under-rate him.
