I think it's a comfort thing. I cannot remember who said it but they would say "Look good - play good." I was very particular about how I dressed/felt before i got on the ice. Hockey players are so damn particular.

I always did the one side tuck. I just liked the way it felt. I wasn't trying to be "cool" or anything. I would tuck one side in if i was training on the ice w/ just me and a skating trainer. Nobody else had to be in the arena.

Whatever makes you feel comfortable - do it. Some guys, especially hockey players, don't give two *****. Some guys take 20 minutes to tie their skates because it just doesn't feel "right" the first 10 times.
