No, but they usually don't have anywhere near the engineering and features of one piece sticks.

Five years ago, there was pretty much no difference between a two-piece and one-piece. It was just a combo with epoxy and paint. Now all high end sticks are joined right at the blade to save weight and improve balance.

All the tech has gone into OPS. You can't have ultra low kickpoints with 8-12" of solid material. So the blade-shaft combos have kind of lagged behind, and most companies just put out the same basic product year after year with a new name and paint job.
