Well folks, this is the stuff that Cup dreams are made of. You can always look back to any team's Cup run and pick out those moments when it could have went the other way.

Game 4 Boston - Tied 0-0 in OT. If McKay doesn't have one of the greatest goal celebrations, NJ heads back to Boston tied at 2.

Game 2 Penguins - Pitt is already up 1 - 0. Late in the third, Stevens goes backhand and starts off what would turn into a 6 game winning streak.

Game 5 Philly - Losers of 2 straight and tied late in the third. Lemieux cements the Con Smythe and calms the fears of a second consecutive blown chance at the Cup.

Philly Games 5 - 7 Three straight elimination game wins. Enough said.

Tampa Game 4 - Scott Steven comes back from a puck to the head which would eventually wind up ending his career, but nt before a heroic performance in game 4 to help NJ put a stranglehold on the series. Never mind the critical moments that would occurr vs Ottawa in the Conference Final. Where is that 03 team if Stevens was lost after game 3?

Which brings us to today. One team in this year's Final has overcome quite a few gut check moments. The other has not. It's never a good time to start learning in the Final.
