The '93 Canadiens had a long rest after quickly disposing the Islanders in 5 games. The Kings and Leafs beat the living hell out of each other in one of the most physical and grueling 7 game series in hockey history. They played two days later in the Cup Finals. Despite winning the first game, I don't think the Kings played with a lead in that series after the Game 2 loss.

It's not like they've been resting for two weeks. They've been on the ice as well, so this talk of rest leading to rust is silly.
