Enough examples? There road to the NHL is littered with players who were awesome scorers in junior hockey and never amounted to a hill of beans. Scoring in junior means jack **** in the big picture.
christain dube - qmjhl scorer when they didn't play defense in that league
Pierre Dagenais - qmjhl , same era, never scored more than 30 points in any junior year before or after.
Sheldon Keefe - 5'11" soft player
Ramzi Abid - another q guy, same era
Mike Riberio - another qmjhl guy from the same era, notice a trend here
common thread - all soft guys. Lets look at the leading scorers from the ohl from that same era. This is the comparable because he plays in the ohl.
1998 - nobody

If you can get the top scorer in the ohl, you have a chance at a special player
