Yeah, always been annoyed by how much crap he got for that game, when it was the whole team that played awful. The game is pretty blurry to me as I never rewatched it, but I vaguely remember him making a big save a little while before the infamous goal and I thought to myself "WTF is the defense doing today?". So he was far from alone.
I will always remember him for the Olympic gold in 1994 and his two shutouts in the 2-game final against Finland in the 1998 World Championship. Not sure if I would put him as the best between the Lindbergh and Lundqvist era (Pekka Lindmark comes to mind), but he's probably top 3 and was for a while the only Swedish goalie to follow in the NHL.
