Pretty sure it was going to be either Cole or Jagr that he signed and Gauthier made a good signing by getting Cole.
Before the year started we had Cammalleri, Gionta, Kostitsyn, Pacioretty and Cole as wingers who could play in our top 6 and then we had Plekanec, Gomez, Desharnais and Eller at centre.. our top 9 was full as no one expected Gomez to be THAT bad and Desharnais/Eller were better than 4th line players.
