Slumps aren't really slumps. They just occur because randomness is clumpy. You aren't any better or worse than you were 5-10 games ago.

Check out this Radiolab episode on randomness - in particular, the second segment on the "hot hand" in sports.

After listening, I stopped caring about the peaks and valleys. They happen.
