But there are some risks too with a player like him that is seen as really good in a certain area (attitude), if one team really desires that one ability that the player in question have, before you know it you got a crazy offer on the table to match.
Like, what would Dale Hunter for example give to get Prust on his team??? Before we know it, Prust got like a 10m offer for 4 years on the table when Slats is only offering like 3 years and 6m or whatever.
prust wants to be here. if he gets a ridiculous offer i'm sure he'll take it after some consideration, but he'd give up a chunk to stay. he likes it here. these guys gave him a chance and he worked hard. he likes the room and the system benefits him. he'll likely get a small raise and 2 or 3 years and take it. if he doesn't that's fine he's still a respectable dude wherever he goes and it'd be completely understandable. fighters don't have the longest careers. may as well make sure his family is set while he's relatively healthy.
