Nowadays teams use more of an "outscoring" model, your first line tries to outscore the other team's first line, same with the second line and the third and we're even beginning to see teams doing that with their fourth line (remember Pouliot-DD-Darche last year).

That's because he was on a defensive line wich he can't handle (he also had a bit of bad luck in Mtl in terms of goals though his overall performance was pretty bad in part due to those hard minutes).

Bourque is a third liner, he's not the same type of third liner as a guy like Moen but at this point he doesn't look like he's able to play top 6 opposition wich any real top 6 player should be able to do.
I really don't think you know as much as you think you do. There's a little thing called situational hockey, and thus the premise of rolling 4 "score more than the opposition" type lines doesn't work...
