It will be interesting to see if the Kane rumors affect Nash's price. After all--for any cap team, Kane is a far, far more valuable piece than Nash--though the (rumored) attitude / off-ice issues are a concern.
I strongly believe that a package of either Schenn or Couturier + a secondary asset would be a competitive offer for Kane. The Jets need a long-term 1C--and both Schenn and Couturier look more likely to fill that role than Schiefle, there only top-6 center prospect.
Little is currently out of position at center, and probably should be playing wing.
Burmistrov looks like he might be a wing long term too.
I'd have an awful hard time parting with either Couturier or Schenn, but it is hard no to like a Kane-Giroux pairing for the next decade. All that kid does is shoot the puck. He'd be the perfect compliment to G.
I'd rather deal JVR for Kane instead of Schenn or Cooter.
