It's a different kind of atmosphere though. Packers fans and media are generally intelligent with their expectations and support of the team. From an outside perspective, it's more of a positive, supportive, community family type of deal in Green Bay.
Cowboys fans are there because it's popular, care way too much about who Romo is dating, and can't understand why the team isn't handed a championship every year on the first day of training camp. The media/fan circus of ignorance around them is more of a hindrance to success. Not to mention Jerry Jones. Before you know it, it'll be 40 years in Dallas without a Super Bowl and nobody will be able to put the pieces together to figure out the puzzle.
With the Leafs, even if they hired competent leadership, the fans and media pressure would be too much to allow them to rebuild the right way (build through the draft, maximize value of their assets, etc). The demand for blockbuster trades and huge free agent signings is too great.
Green Bay is smart enough to see through a process of developing guys like Aaron Rogers and Clay Matthews.
