Ended up re-curving the blade. Flattened out the heel curve a bit and close the face a hair, then added a mid and toe curve to it. It now looks like a P92 with a square toe, maybe a bit more curved than kinked, and a hair more open.
It's so money on shots. Hard, heavy shots that go to the corners. I might like to see a bit less curve and a bit more kink instead, but it's really cool. The square toe helps a ton along the boards. I had to play defense tonight with a short bench a level higher than normal, and I had some great hard shots on net, although the backhand passes were coming up a lot more than I wanted.
Also the wood blade was pretty sweet for killing the puck. Easy to catch passes and move it along. Pretty solid balance too.
I kind of want to try to re-curve a Forsberg and a Sakic and see which profile I like, then maybe get some wood blades made up. We'll see how long it lasts.
