Well look at it this way...if they were just concerned about replacing Rucchin as a center, they could have shaken up the lines by moving Straka down to center the second line, bumping Sykora or Prucha back up, and dressing Orr to bump Hossa up to the 2nd line. In fact, they did that earlier this year.

What I'm saying is that they didn't have to call up Immonen in any way. The fact that they did it anyways says to me they're going to give him some minutes to see how he does. If he plays well, Renney will give him more minutes. If he doesn't, he'll probably get fewer minutes and Renney will shuffle the lines to something like I said above.

Now a question would be...what if Immonen does really well in replacing Rucchin, gets some points, blah blah (this is hypothetical, people). Do they keep playing him and move Rucchin down when he's ready to play again? Or do they send Immonen back to Hartford anyways?
