This is actually pretty hard to decide, as almost every single NYR (*coughs*Hossa*coughs*) have done something positive in contributing to the team's success

My top 5 for the award:

1. Jaromir Jagr - Um..., would the Rangers' even be 1st in the Atlantic Division, let alone, be IN THE FRIGGIN' PLAYOFFS without him and his 100+ points?
2. Henrik Lundqvist - Already an Olympic Gold medal winner, has gotten enormous amount of praise for his outstanding goaltending from the Rangers' organization, fans, the League (see his stats), other teams' fans' and is a candidate to win the Vezina or the Calder.
3. Jason Ward - This guy hustles on every shift he takes, he is a great skater;fast, makes underrated plays happen here and there, blocks shots, HITS, has decent offensive skills to score a SH goal-unlike Ortmeyer or Moore who have no hands at all.
4. Jed Ortmeyer - He can be our backup goalie, if Weekes should fail. This guy is friggin' insane. Blocks almost every shot on the PK, hits, takes hits, draws penalties, and has hands of stone which makes us love him even more!
5. Martin Straka/Dominic Moore/Petr Prucha/Tom Poti -
Straka: Underrated, an extremely hard worker and skater, sidekick to the Big J.
Moore: Almost like Ortmeyer, but has a tiny bit better hands (especially against Montreal).
Petr Prucha: One of the surprises of the year for the League and the Rangers'. Plays good at both ends of the ice, hustles all the time, great offensive skills, hits with all of his 173lbs of energy and motivation.
Tom Poti: Okay, most of you guys probably don't agree with me on this but... compare his game to last year... this year, he's improved a huge amount on his defensive game (especially in the last few months), while still contributing offensively from time to time.
