2 years ago Claude Giroux was 22, and had a 47 point -9 season, with approximately the same ice time, but more power play time. Both of these guys had rediculous junior careers, and both ended up at approximately the same NHL level points wise at 22 years old.
I am obviously not saying that Gagner is going to be the next Giroux, but he has the talent to take a turn at such a young age. Sam Gagner might have been rushed to the NHL, but i doubt the oilers have given up on him yet.
