His trade value right now is not nearly as high as it can be, If we are actually thinking of trading him it better be for a overpayment otherwise lets see what he can do this year.
Trading him for a pick is really taking a step back and delaying the rebuild even longer. I don't know if the Oilers are willing to do that.
In my opinion if they are set on trading Gagner they should try to package Gagner for an upgrade on 2C.
While I agree that getting a pick for Gags is a timeline step back, Getting an 8th or 6th overall is a really good payment> There was a time last year where it looked like he wasn't even worth a second round pick. Plus you have to factor in the fact that we DO need some size at center in our top 6 and RNH isn't going anywhere. Gags is the candidate to be moved.
I am saying that even though i like him and think he is a good Oiler
