Just out of curiousity, which one of Umberger and Potulny do you (everyone) think will go on to have a bigger impact for the Flyers? I'll be honest, I didn't think that Potulny was going to be amount to anything because he didn't get the same kind of hype as the other prospects, making it difficult to really get an understanding of someone's accomplishments.

Potulny
Year 1: 15 games 6 goals 8 assists 14 points 10 penalty minutes [INJURED]
Year 2: 43 games 24 goals 17 assists 41 points 20 penalty minutes
Year 3: 41 games 38 goals 25 assists 63 points 31 penalty minutes
2005-2006 Hobey Baker Memorial Award Finalist
2005-2006 All-WCHA First Team honoree

Umberger
Year 1: 32 games 14 goals 23 assists 37 points 18 penalty minutes
Year 2: 37 games 18 goals 21 assists 39 points 31 penalty minutes
Year 3: 43 games 26 goals 27 assists 53 points 16 penalty minutes
2002-2003 Hobey Baker Memorial Award Finalist
2002-2003 NCCA West Second All-American Team
2002-2003 Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) First All-Star Team

Ryan Potulny was signed to a one way contract immediately following his junior year which is a tremendous vote of confidence from management. Coaches then go on record saying how impressed they were with Potulny's play during practicies. I don't even recall management giving Umberger this kind of attention. I'm starting to honestly believe that he could be ready for the NHL and even outplay some other forwards, provided he's given a reasonable chance.
